Club Mission

The Notre Dame Club Of Memphis is the official University of Notre Dame Alumni Club in the Mid-South region and is one of 250 plus ND clubs worldwide which share the goals and ideals of the Notre Dame Alumni Association and the University of Notre Dame du Lac.

Our aim is to provide a nexus for students, graduates, and all who love the unique character and spirit of the school of our Lady.

Our role is to provide venues so that our membership can re-connect with each other and with the University in meaningful ways and in the context of our professional lives, our family relationships, and our presence in the local community.

Our constituency is all who truly believe there is magic in the sound of her name, all who aspire to play like a champion in day-to-day life, and all who love thee, Notre Dame.

Our mantra is to never forget that we are Notre Dame.

Our perennial calendar of events and activities typically includes the following:

Universal Notre Dame Night - a celebratory dinner of members, spouses, friends, students along with a university affiliated guest speaker

Hesburgh Lectures - a professional continuing education topic addressed by a Notre Dame affiliated academician, sponsored by the club

Summer Service Projects - in conjunction with the University, the club sponsors two Notre Dame students for two-month internships in community service in Memphis each year

Student Sendoff - an annual party of new and returning Notre Dame and St. Mary's students, their parents, and the membership at-large to greet and meet future domers and to send them to their appointed way with solid Irish support

Football Bus Trip - only the trippers know what occurs on these pilgrimages but it must be good because they keep doing it over and over again

Game Watches - provide a Fighting Irish setting for watching ND football games

Club Scholarships - the club administers its own scholarship program in conjunction with the University and annually awards some scholarship funding to local ND students

Targets of Opportunities - the club stands to reach out to victims of adversity with compassion and support, to provide hospitality to visitors from the extended Notre Dame family, to host the occasional golfing match or cookout or holiday party
